Pend Oreille Sports Association is excited to share a few important updates as we continue expanding and strengthening youth sports opportunities for families in our community.
Pend Oreille Little League Returning to Independent Operation
POLL will be returning to its independent structure and will operate separately from POSA moving forward. This shift allows both organizations to focus on the models and programs that best reflect their goals, volunteers and families.
For parents, this simply means that baseball and softball will now be handled directly through POLL. Registration and communication for those sports will come from their organization beginning with the upcoming season. Families will hear from POLL with the information they need to get started.
POSA is grateful for the years of shared work supporting local kids, and we’re glad families will continue to have strong baseball and softball options in our region.
POSA Launching Flag Football in Summer 2026
At the same time, POSA is excited to grow in new directions. Beginning summer 2026, we will launch Pines Flag Football, a coed, low contact, high energy program that introduces kids to football in a positive and supportive way.
For families, this means a new summer sport option with weekly practices, weekend games and age-based divisions. More details will be shared early next year.
Looking Ahead
POSA remains committed to creating programs where every child can belong, grow and gain confidence. As we refine our focus, we are building forward around the sports that have become core to our mission.
We look forward to playing basketball, soccer, volleyball and flag football with you and your families in the seasons ahead.
We’re grateful for this community, and we’re excited for everything that’s coming next.
